White-Taylor Laura Lea Taylor and John White were married on September 30, 2017 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon in the gardens of the 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage in Asheville, NC. The ceremony was officiated by Anne McClearen, M.Div., with a luncheon reception following. The bride is the daughter of the late Lucy Lea and William David Taylor, formerly of Charlotte, NC. She is a graduate of Charlotte Country Day School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a B.A. degree with a double major in English literature and political science. Her professional career has been in the publishing and non-profit sectors in New York City and Charlotte. The groom is the son of the late Jana Lewis and John Ed White, formerly of Manchester, KY. He is a graduate of Clay County High School and Union College, where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Thereafter, he earned J.D. and M.B.A. graduate degrees from the University of Kentucky and a LL.M. graduate law degree in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. His professional career has been in the law in Washington, DC, New York City, Charlotte, and Atlanta, and in the financial sector in Atlanta. He is co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of each of The Pennyroyal Group, LLC, and Bridgehaven Capital Management, LLC. The couple is planning a honeymoon in 2018 and will reside in Charlotte.
