Elsasser-Peck Sarah Virginia Peck and Jonathan Casey Elsasser were married June 3, 2017. The ceremony was held at the University of Virginia Chapel in Charlottesville, Virginia with the Reverend Ann Gillespie of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia officiating. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at a reception held at Panorama Farms overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Jonathan Charles Peck and Ms. Barbara Ann Vobejda of Alexandria, Virginia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Betty Perrine Peck and Mr. Jerome Frederick Peck of Mount Kisko, New York, and Mrs. Virginia Parker Vobejda and Mr. William Frank Vobejda of Englewood, Colorado. Sarah, a graduate of T.C. Williams High School, Alexandria, Virginia, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Virginia. Sarah is currently the Communications Director for U.S. Senator Tim Kaine in Washington, D.C. The groom is the son of David Roger and Kathryn Dutro Elsasser of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. Rosemary Irene Elsasser of Chesapeake, Virginia and the late Donald Lee Elsasser, and of Mrs. Nancy Webster Dutro and the late Robert Smith Dutro of Williamsburg, Virginia. Jonathan, a graduate of Charlotte Country Day School, Charlotte, North Carolina, earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is working for Hogan Lovells US LLP, a Washington, D.C. law firm. The maids of honor were Rebecca Leigh Thornton of Washington, D.C., and Allison Baylor Williams of Richmond, Virginia, both college friends of the bride. The bridesmaids were Anna Kathryn Elsasser, sister of the groom, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Michaela Reilly Balderston of New York, New York, Liza O'Brien Bray of Washington, D.C., and Margaret Sutherland Carragher of Charleston, South Carolina, childhood friends of the bride; Laura Ryan Ramsey of Richmond, Virginia, Elizabeth Langley Sutphin of Richmond, Virginia, and Page Zakas Burdette of Atlanta, Georgia, all college friends of the bride, and Alison Schiffli Orshoski of Arlington, Virginia, friend of the bride from their semester abroad in Spain. The groom's brother, Brandon Robert Elsasser of Charlotte, North Carolina, served as best man. Groomsmen were Todd Frederick Becker of Chicago, Illinois, Michael Dean Clark of Shreveport, Louisiana, Edward Joseph Connor IV of Washington, D.C., Collin Richard Lundgren of Arlington, Virginia, Curtis Allen Orshoski of Arlington, Virginia, John Richards Pomeroy of Richmond, Virginia, all college friends of the groom; and Michael Howard Kipnis of Chicago, Illinois, and Lucas Carson Fries of Charlotte, North Carolina, childhood friends of the groom. The bride wore a Leanne Marshall long-sleeved lace gown with a silk A Line skirt. She wore a cathedral veil with lace details and carried a white floral and eucalyptus bouquet. The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at the Old Metropolitan Hall on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall, catered by C & O Restaurant. The newlyweds honeymooned in August in St. Lucia. They reside in Washington, D.C.
